Announcing the winners of the fourth edition of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Global Foundation Insignia

The Arab Voluntary Union announced the names of the winners of the fourth edition of the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Global Foundation’s Insignia for the best volunteer work in the world, which is organized by the Arab Voluntary Union in cooperation with the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Global Foundation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of the League of Arab States, in partnership with the United Nations Program United Volunteers in Egypt, the United Nations Population Fund, the Regional Office for Arab States, the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Arab Planning Institute in the State of Kuwait.

The arbitration committee evaluated the voluntary projects according to objective bases consistent with international standards in this area, complete independence, and impartiality, and selected 18 voluntary projects within six areas.

Won in the field of health, well-being, hygiene, and clean water, WAREED” Vein” blood donation initiative from Morocco.

 KHATWA MEN BADRY “An early step” to a breast cancer detector organization from Sudan.

A volunteer business incubator in Yanbu Industrial City (Volunteer Center) provided by the Royal Commission in Yanbu - Department of Social Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the field of economic empowerment, poverty eradication, and decent work, won:  EADET AL-AMAL “Bring back hope” in Old Mosul initiative, presented by the Muthabarun Voluntary Charity Team from Iraq,

 Tamkeen project, presented by the Namaa Association for Community Development from Jordan,

 Technology House project, presented by the Development and Technology Association, Nagaa Khamis from Egypt.

In the area of education and the eradication of ignorance and illiteracy, won

 Masarat initiative to spread knowledge remotely from Syria,

 the Sudanese Education Support Organization (SEDSO) project from Sudan, and the Kinda Children project from Jordan.

Also won in the field of heritage, culture, and the arts, the Arabic calligraphy project, a Insignia of pride inherited by generations, presented by the Antonine Art Foundation from Lebanon, the Ramadan initiative with the flavor of my Arab country, presented by the Tunisian Association for Modern Education Technology from Tunisia, and the Arabic Calligraphy Endowment project proposed by the Pen Foundation for Arts and Culture from Egypt.

In the field of environment, climate, clean energy, and life in water and land, won the Green Mosul Initiative, presented by the Eye of Mosul team from Iraq, the Green Workers Program, presented by the Green Generation Association from Jordan, and the Solaire Irrigation par énergie project presented by MOUES Imed from Algeria.

Finally, in the field of food security and the eradication of hunger, won the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative to support smallholder women farmers from Egypt, the Rohingya relief project in northern Thailand, presented by the Al Rahma Charitable Organization Asia in Thailand, and the vital agriculture project presented by Royal Green Technologies from Egypt.

In this context, Mr. Hassan Bu Hazaa, President of the Arab Voluntary Union, expressed his great happiness with the winners of the Insignia, stressing that this victory will be a milestone for them to develop their volunteer projects and expand their scope to serve their communities, indicating that the Insignia of the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Global Foundation for the best volunteer work stands today on the ground Well-established and solid, thanks to the high expertise of those in charge of it, which today has become one of the most significant international awards in the field of volunteer work.

For his part, Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Global Foundation, congratulated the award winners for their innovative quality projects, stressing that the Insignia was able to contribute to creating honest competition and encouraging distinguished ideas and initiatives that contribute to the development of societies, stressing that all participants in the Insignia, they are considered among the winners, as they will benefit from participation by learning about the mechanisms of developing their projects, improving their capabilities, and ensuring their sustainability to serve their communities.

Dr. Al-Ansari explained that the award of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Global Foundation for the best volunteer work in the world comes as one of the qualitative initiatives launched by the Foundation in light of its humanitarian and societal duty toward people.

Noteworthy that the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Global Foundation's Insignia for the best volunteer work in the world aims to highlight the role of government institutions, commercial companies, NGOs, and volunteer teams in providing volunteer projects that contribute to addressing many development problems facing societies, and to encourage their contributions in delivering innovative solutions to meet challenges and crises.

The awards will be distributed during the closing ceremony next February 2023 AD at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
