Finalizing the Arrangements for the Award Ceremony of the Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd Foundation Insignia of the League of Arab States

The organizing committee of the Insignia of the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Foundation for the best volunteer work, in its fourth edition, has completed its final preparations to hold the closing ceremony of the Insignia, which the Arab Voluntary Union organizes in cooperation with the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Foundation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and under the auspices of the League of Arab States, and in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers Program, the United Nations Population Fund, the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Arab Planning Institute in the State of Kuwait, during the period from January 31 to February 2, 2023 AD.

In this context, Mr. Hassan Buhazaa, President of the Arab Voluntary Union, stated in a press statement, "The Organizing Committee has completed all preparations for the award ceremony, which will be hosted by the League of Arab States on February 1 of the year 2023 AD, under the auspices of the League and the Ministry of Social Solidarity of Egypt, and the ceremony will witness the honoring of 18 Voluntary projects from 11 countries, these projects contributed to serving their societies in many fields.

Buhaza said: "The Insignia in this edition has achieved its goal of encouraging creative volunteer cadres to devise ways to develop volunteer and humanitarian work. Furthermore, these projects made them a shining beacon for all volunteers to follow this path.

For his part, Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Foundation, confirmed that for the second year in a row, the Foundation and the Arab Volunteer Union were keen to make this version global to spread and strengthen the concept of social responsibility in all countries of the world, and encouraging civil organizations, agencies and individuals to increase its contribution to voluntary projects to achieve comprehensive development in various countries of the world and at all levels.

Indicating that one of the most important objectives of the ceremony is to encourage the participants, highlight their community volunteer projects, and exchange experiences and successful experiences in this field.

It is worth noting that the Insignia is an annual award launched by the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Foundation for the best volunteer work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Union in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of International Volunteer Day, and is auspices of the League of Arab States. Their experiences and projects are in the spotlight and among volunteers, which contributes to spreading the culture of volunteering, developing volunteer work, and highlighting its role in the comprehensive and sustainable development of societies, in addition to strengthening the principle of effective partnership with civil society organizations, bodies, institutions and volunteer teams, and directing them to serve their communities.
