Manama, Bahrain, 21 November 2020: The submission period for Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Global Insignia for Best Voluntary Work has ended, reaching 354 voluntary projects from 41 countries from around the world who fully met the conditions of the insignia, organized by Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd International Foundation for the third year in a row under the auspices of the League of Arab States and in cooperation with The Arab Voluntary Union.
For its third edition, the insignia opened doors to voluntary projects worldwide, participation began on 28th September 2020 and ended on 15th November 2020, the Arab Republic of Egypt toped the number of participation regionally with 38 submitted projects, Indonesia topped the number of participation internationally with 20 submitted projects.
The Insignia’s organizing committee praised the great interaction by participants and the quality of projects submitted, aimed at serving various communities and activating the role of voluntary work globally, in addition to motivating volunteers from around the world to take part in initiatives that spread the culture of voluntary work and to encourage volunteers to create and develop innovative projects.
The Insignia’s organizing committee confirmed that the participation of this edition witness a great diversity in all areas, receiving voluntary projects from global civil society organizations, voluntary initiatives, private institutions and commercial companies, the insignia’s registration committee will present all nominated projects to the jury to start the evaluation process.
Winners will be announced mid-January 2021, honoring ceremony will take place on 24th March 2021, at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo - Arab Republic of Egypt
